NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Manipur on September 13 , with a day-long programme beginning in Churachandpur and later in Kangla, Imphal. The visit comes amid ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability in the state after recent unrest.
"For the visit of Honourable PM. The state govt appreciates the efforsts of the people of manipur both at the hill and the valley for succesfully moving forward to restore peace and normalcy in the state. the joint effort of all the stake holders have brought stablilty and security slowly but steadly in the state, Manipur is not just a border state but central pillar of India's act east policy, a gateway to the south east asia and a proud guardian of India's diversity. Peace is not only the absence of violence but also the presence of trust and reconciliation. Thus the visit of honourable PM to the state will pave way for peace, normalcy and escalated growth in the state," Goel added.
According to Goel, "PM Modi will arrive in Churachandpur around 12:15 pm from Aizawl. He will interact with internally displaced persons and lay the foundation stone for various infrastructure projects across the state. He will also address a public gathering at Peace Ground in Churachandpur."
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will proceed to Kangla around 2:30 pm, where he will meet displaced families in the valley, inaugurate several development projects within and outside the state, and address a public gathering.
The development package includes foundation stones for projects worth Rs 1,300 crore and inaugurations of completed works valued at Rs 1,200 crore.

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects worth more than Rs 71,850 crore during his upcoming tour of five states from September 13 to 15. A key highlight will be the launch of the Makhana Development Board in Bihar, aimed at boosting production and creating global opportunities for farmers.
The Prime Minister will unveil multiple infrastructure, connectivity and welfare projects, in addition to inaugurating completed works across the northeastern region and Bihar. The initiatives are expected to strengthen economic growth, support local communities and enhance India’s Act East outreach.
The Prime Minister will also address several public gatherings during the trip, where he is likely to emphasise peace, development and regional aspirations.
PM to visit Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal and Bihar from Sept 13–15The Prime Minister’s three-day itinerary will begin in Aizawl, Mizoram, on September 13 before moving to Churachandpur and Imphal in Manipur the same day. He will then travel to Guwahati, Assam, on September 14, followed by stops in West Bengal and Bihar on September 15.

In Manipur, Modi will meet internally displaced persons affected by recent unrest and inaugurate or lay foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 2,500 crore. In Assam, the focus will be on connectivity, while in West Bengal, he will launch infrastructure works and welfare schemes. His visit will conclude in Bihar with the launch of the Makhana Development Board and inauguration of multiple projects aimed at farmers and rural development.
Officials noted that the visit underlines the Centre’s push for peace, stability and growth across the northeast and eastern states.
