Ahmedabad: A 49-year-old woman with roots in Gujarat was allegedly shot dead during a robbery attempt at her convenience store in Union county, South Carolina, late Tuesday night.
Police said they received a call around 10.30pm about a man firing shots outside DD's Food Mart on South Pinckney Street that Kiran Patel ran for years. When officers arrived, they found Patel lying unresponsive in the parking lot with gunshot wounds.
