The world's narrowest car has been spotted in Italy after a monumental project by mechanic Andrea Marazzi. The Italian motoring expert sliced up a classic Fiat Panda to create his own ultra-thin version, which is just 20 inches wide.
The vehicle retains many features of its original design with much of the interior kept in place despite the 50cm width. The vehicle was handcrafted by the 30-year-old mechanic using materials from a classic 1993 Fiat Panda. The car is fitted with just one headlight at the front, with two tiny indicators but still retains all four wheels.

Progress of Andrea's build has been shared on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram with the project now reaching its conclusion.
After finalising the design, Andrea said: "It all started from here. From our self-destruction, but above all from a crazy idea. Imagination, patience, and days of work.
"A year of cuts, welds, mistakes and laughter. A year of chasing something no one has ever done: the world's tightest panda.
"Today is not just a vision anymore, but something real. It's lit, steer... and it speaks to millions of people."
The car is fitted with an ingenious engine system which doesn't require it to sit inside the front bonnet.
Instead, the transmission goes from one wheel only fitted on the left rear tyre.
The brake sits on the right rear side with systems to control the steering sitting at the front of the machine.
Andrea added: "Guys all think the engine is under the hood. You are wrong. Rear engine, rear wheel drive has a single wheel. The other wheel acts as a brake. 24V fully electric motor."
In one of his social media videos, Andrea demonstrated that his Panda weighs a ridiculously small 264 kilos.
In comparison, an ordinary Fiat Panda can weigh anywhere from 860 kg to 1,554 kg, depending on the spec.
In another post, Andrea showed off the interior, demonstrating the model was still fit for a passenger despite its transformation.
He said: "Since many have asked me about the interior. These are the interiors. Original rear seat, original fabric. Front seat, all original fabric sponge.
"Original dashboard also cut shortened. Obviously working steering wheel. Obviously working key, mat, accelerator, brake."
