Channel 4 journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy has shared the "total chaos" unfolding at Wembley Arena as Oasis took to the stage as part of their reunion tour. Krishnan penned on X: "Total chaos at Wembley as they insist standing ticket holders who've passed the turnstiles also queue for wristbands - but have run out.
"Oasis have just come on and we can't get in to see them. More farce. Had resisted the stupid prices and then was offered a ticket today, so stupid." The broadcaster shared a picture of fed-up fans lining up to enter the London venue as the concert was starting.
Liam and Noel Gallagher set the world on fire when they announced they would be reuniting after almost 15 years apart, following a bitter feud between the Mancunian brothers.
Their huge tour has been a complete sell-out, with some fans flying in to the UK from across the globe after spending thousands of pounds on flights and tickets to see Oasis perform together.
So far, the tour has gone smoothly, with the brothers both appearing on stage each night. They recently performed in their hometown of Manchester, which had rave reviews, and now the London leg of the tour is underway.
Due to popular demand, Oasis will also perform at Wembley Stadium on July 26, 30, August 2, 3, and September 27 and 28.
Krishnan's followers could not resist commenting on the queue he was faced with, with one writing: "Please don't put your life in the hands of a rock and roll band."
Someone else penned: "You have clearly come up against a (no)wonderwall ... hope you get in!"
Another said: "I went in 2009 and leaving the concert at Wembley was horrendous. Kettled in for what seemed like an eternity just to get to the tube. People getting restless."
The Channel 4 star shared an update after 30 minutes from inside the arena when he had taken his seat, which read: "But once inside...the sound is quite epic."
Someone who was relieved by his update replied, "Have a fab night. I hope you have your bucket hat."
