This ruling is a moment of relief for the people of Epping, but it should never have been necessary. This community were forced into battle with their own government just to feel safe in their own town - and after their fight against Labour, a fight spearheaded by the local Conservatives, it is finally over.
Yvette Cooper and Labour thought they could dump immigrants into communities and turn a blind eye. Overruling local objections and waving away the concerns of parents, councillors, and residents as if they're the problem doesn't matter. But it's not just Epping who have had enough, the public will not stand for it.
Everywhere, communities are being turned upside down, empty hotels are being filled overnight with young foreign men.
One by one, communities are being told to shut up and make space, and every time people speak out, Labour provide the same sneering response that if you object, you must be bigoted or racist.
And that's before the government presses ahead with its plans to put asylum seekers and illegal immigrants into rental properties across our country.
This whole episode is the direct result of Labour's decision to throw open Britain's borders. Labour tore up the deterrents, scrapped Rwanda, handed power to activist lawyers and foreign courts.
We should not forget that the last Conservative government closed the Bell Hotel as a migrant hotel - but Labour re-opened it this year after they totally lost control of our borders.
Labour don't care that it's the families in Epping, in Stoke, in Hull, in Dover, that are dealing with the fallout in rising crime, stretched services, and higher taxes.
They just want to hide the problem away, and keep putting our press releases instead of delivering any real plan. Their policy of dispersing illegal arrivals will only make things worse - by pushing up rents and housing illegal immigrants alongside families.
That's why we need real action, and only the Conservatives have the plan, the will, and the backbone to deliver it.
Our Deportation Bill would bring automatic deportation for all illegal arrivals, disapply the Human Rights Act in immigration cases, and restore our borders.
Because deterrence works, and when we stop the crossings, we stop the hotels. And when we stop the chaos, families across this country will never again be forced to fight their own government just to feel safe.
The time for excuses is over. Every illegal arrival must be removed, every loophole must be closed, every community must be protected so towns like Epping are never put in this position again.
