The much-anticipated second season of Netflix's "Wednesday" is set to make a comeback, with the first four episodes slated for release today (August 6). If it mirrors the success of its debut season, we can expect a fresh dose of monstrous chaos, blood-curdling gore, and a deluge of gothic wit.

The show follows the life of Wednesday from the iconic Addams family as she navigates the peculiarities of Nevermore Academy. Here, she strives to hone her nascent psychic powers, halt a murderous rampage, and unravel a decades-old mystery that once ensnared her parents.

Jenna Ortega steps into the shoes of Wednesday, earning accolades from fans who believe she has impeccably embodied the character's legendary persona. Yet, one wonders how much of this portrayal stems from pure acting?

In anticipation of the initial season, Jenna engaged in a candid chat with Wired, where she discussed whether her bond with Maddie Ziegler, her former co-star from "The Fallout," remained strong.

"She's one of my greatest friends ever," declared the star of "Wednesday," before lavishing praise on her "beautiful, wonderful baby angel face" friend as someone she bonded with instantly.

"Maddie and I are the same person in different fonts," Jenna elaborated, adding, "She's such a weirdo and I'm a weirdo."

Ortega then shared a glimpse into her own "weirdness" with an intriguing anecdote about her childhood pastimes. Instead of typical activities like reading or cycling, she disclosed her interest in conducting "autopsies on little animals when [she] was younger," including "little lizards that I found that were dead in my backyard."

She hastened to add this peculiar pastime wasn't something she had in common with the former Dance Moms star, who is more of a "weirdo in the sense that she breaks out into characters or movements or makes faces.

"Her comedic timing is so under-appreciated," Ortega elaborated. "She makes me laugh. We have a good time. We're really weird together."

This unusual revelation caught people's attention, with some remarking it was reminiscent of Wednesday Addams.

"Gives Wednesday Addams vibes," one person commented. However, someone else questioned: "Why would she say this?"

A third person suggested: "Not something I would ever admit to, but to be fair there is a big difference between actually killing the animal to do a little autopsy on it and just finding a dead one and doing it.

"Maybe I'm weird but this isn't weird to me... it sounds like something some little kids have done and still do," someone else said.

Despite the intrigue, some sceptics doubted the authenticity of her story, with one saying: "I am choosing to believe she's putting a fake persona to get people to watch Wednesday.

"This is the first thing I thought! I actually think it's more impressive when you play the role so well even though you don't have an relatability to it," another person commented.
