Boots offering 'better than half price' deal on 'luxury' Christmas gift set

A box of beauty products with a reasonable price tag may sound like a rare commodity, but Boots has a treasure trove of goodies to choose from. The Sanctuary Spa Complete Spa Escape Festive Gift Set, priced at £26.50, down from £54, comes packed with smellies and saves shoppers £27.50 off the full price.

It contains products from The Sanctuary Spa, including the Aqua Serenity Body Scrub, the Aqua Serenity Body Wash and the Golden Sandalwood Natural Oils Melting Pearls Body Butter. The body butter is a blend of shea butter and also has pearls of Moroccan argan oil, with a sandalwood scent, the Sanctuary says.

Additionally, shoppers can create their own luxury spa haven at home, using the Lily & Rose Bath Float, or Signature Rich Shower Oil, and after that, there's the Signature Body Lotion to keep skin luxuriously smooth, and the Wellness Solutions Sleep Mist for a serene, spa-like slumber.

Boots advises using the shower oil, then lathering on the body wash and using the body puff that's also included too. The Sanctuary Spa says the body wash is fragranced with refreshing aquatic notes of Lotus Water and Magnolia Blossom, for a soothing aroma.

Shoppers can also choose to massage the scrub onto damp skin, in the shower or bath, and rinse it off leaving skin feeling refreshed. According to the Sanctuary, the body scrub is "infused with natural pumice and a refreshing fragrance", and it delivers "a gentle yet effective exfoliation".

The body butter followed by a spritz of the Wellness Sleep Mist is a perfect combination, too. They say their sleep mist is a "blend of Jasmine, Violet & Sandalwood", and can be spritzed on to the face, body or pillow to help shoppers get to sleep.

For something a bit pricier but filled with products that have garnered a following all of their own, Space NK has the Sol de Janeiro Make a Bright Entrance set for £49. This is filled with bath and body treats, including their Cheirosa 40 Perfume Mist which is a blend of "accords of black amber plum, fresh jasmine blooms and vanilla woods", they say.

Another option could be the White Company's Peony Bath & Body Set, currently reduced online to £19.60, down from £28. These products have scent notes of peony, rose and honeysuckle, and the set includes a bath and shower gel, and body lotion.

On Boots, many shoppers have gifted the Sanctuary set. One said: "Always enjoyed as a luxury and a great price a present for my daughter which she will love." Someone else said: "This is a Christmas present, hoping the recipient will be happy, very good value."

A less pleased shopper added: "A nice collection, good value with the discount, not sure I'd pay the full price. Unfortunately, I need to replace the tissue paper inside as it was torn, assuming this was due to how it was packed for posting."

One customer who also plans on gifting the bundle said: "Nice gift set, bought as a Christmas present for a friend. I'm sure she will be pleased with it. Great value as it was on offer at half price. I would not have paid full price for it though." Another beauty shopper added: "Good quality and value for money. It's a Christmas present so can't give a better insight."
