Constantly needing to buy new baking trays can be frustrating if yours always seem to be dirty. An expert has shared how you can extend the life of your baking trays and make sure you won't need to keep forking out for new ones.
If you often cook using your baking trays, it's important to make sure they're well-kept to ensure your food can be cooked safely and healthily. One member of the team at BetterWare has shared her tips for maintaining clean baking trays which will last you a lifetime if you take care of them properly.

Bex Holt, Head of Marketing at BetterWare, says: "To extend the life, we'd recommend you don't put your baking trays in the dishwasher.
"This will help to keep the coating intact for longer. You should make sure that you are soaking them to get food off them before washing them properly."
But Ms Holt says there's one crucial thing that people often get wrong.
"You should not soak them as soon as you get them out of the oven when they're really hot. Make sure to leave them to cool. All you need to do is soak them in just some warm soapy water."
Another cleaning tip to improve the longevity of your baking trays is not to scrub them with anything too abrasive.
She says you should use softer cloths and pads which will not damage the baking tray.
Ms Holt adds: "For anything that's enamel, these you can wash over and over again. These types of trays can withstand much higher temperatures, and as long as they don't chip, they will last for ten years or more.
"For anything that's non-stick, you should avoid putting them in the dishwasher which will extend its life."
She says baking trays with an enamel coating should last a lifetime if taken care of properly.
By following these easy tips, you can ensure your baking trays will last and you won't need to keep buying new ones or trying to scrub residue off all the time.
