Ingredients required for Chatpata Paneer Tikka Roll- Paneer – 200 gms, cut into cubes
- Curd – half a cup
- Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric – a quarter teaspoon
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Salt – as per taste
- Oil- 2 tbsp
- Capsicum – 1 cut into cubes
- Onion – 1 chopped into cubes
- Wheat flour – 1 cup
- Refined flour – 1/2 cup (optional)
- Salt – as per taste
- Oil- 1 tablespoon
- Green chutney – 3 to 4 tablespoons
- Mayonnaise or yogurt – 3 to 4 tablespoons
- Lettuce leaves, chopped onions, tomatoes - for topping
- First of all, mix curd, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, lemon juice and salt in a bowl and mix well. Add paneer cubes, capsicum and onion to it. Now let it marinate for 30 minutes so that the spices get absorbed well into the paneer.
- After this, heat some oil in a pan and fry the marinated paneer and vegetables till they turn light golden. If you want, you can also bake them in the oven at 180 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Now mix wheat flour, refined flour (if adding), salt and oil and knead a soft dough. Roll thin rotis from this dough and bake them on a pan till they turn light golden.
- Now take a roti and spread green chutney and mayonnaise or curd on it. Place paneer tikka and vegetables on it. If you want, you can also add salad leaves and some chopped onion-tomato.
- After this, fold the roti like a roll and set it with the help of a toothpick.
- Chatpata paneer tikka roll is ready. Serve it hot with green chutney, tamarind chutney or tomato ketchup.
