Cricket enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February 2026. The tournament will feature 20 teams, and as of now, 15 nations have secured their berths, with Italy qualifying for the T20 World Cup for the very first time in their history.
Italy's historic qualification came through the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier 2025, where they performed brilliantly to finish among the top two teams in the points table, alongside the Netherlands. Despite losing their final match to the Netherlands, Italy's superior net run rate ensured their progression.
