Originally released in 2006, Charlotte's Web wasadapted from E.B White's classic 1952 novel, which also inspired the 1973 animated musical. It follows a heart-warming friendship between Charlotte the Spider (voiced by Julia Roberts) and Wilbur the Pig.
After learning that Wilbur is in danger of being slaughtered, Charlotte, with help from the farmer's daughter Fern, plots to save his life by writing about him in her web.

At its core, the family-friendly film teaches important lessons on true friendship and the cycle of life and death.
Young Dakota Fanning starred as Fern, with A-listers like Oprah Winfrey, Steve Buscemi and John Cleese voicing various farm animals. Meanwhile, Gary Winick, who helmed hit rom-com 13 Going on 30, served as the director.
As you'd expect from a children's film based on a much-loved book, Charlotte's Web was a hit with viewers and critics alike.
It scored an impressive 79% Rotten Tomatoes rating. Critics praised the drama in their consensus, writing: "Kids will be entertained by the straightforward plot and cute animals, and adults will be charmed by how quiet and humble the production is, a fine translation of E.B. White's genteel prose."
Moviegoers were similarly impressed, with one penning: "It was so exciting to see this tender story hit the level of live action. This quaint tear-jerker never falls short of being emotionally moving and great."

On Google Reviews, another fan vouched for the film's emotional impact.
"Only movie that can make a grown man sad about a spider. Extremely heartfelt movie with an amazing and long lasting message about caring and friendship," they said.
Meanwhile, an IMDb user reviewed: "I saw this movie with my two sons and wife and we all enjoyed it. We were very familiar with both the book and original animated movie, which we highly enjoyed."
They continued: "My sons found many things to laugh at and the darker moments, (not wanting to spoil anything for anyone who does not know the story) are handled deftly so sensitive children will not get upset. An excellent family movie."
