While Ozzy and Sharon had been candid on his health following his Parkinson's diagnosis, the family admitted that thinking of his death wasn't on their "radar". Jack found out the news while he was at his home in Los Angeles and immediately flew to England to be with his family.
He said he just felt "sadness and pain" upon hearing the news but did find comfort that Ozzy was no longer in pain. "There was a level of okay he's not suffering anymore," Jack said on his YouTube channel.
"He's not struggling and that is something. I wish he was still here I wish he was still with us all. But he was he was having a rough go, and I think people saw that at the show."
Revealing how Ozzy's death came as a shock, Jack added: "No one expected it to happen as quickly as it did and and when it did. It was not anything that was on our radar."
He then decided to settle any rumours of Ozzy planning to die after the show. Jack said: "I know leading up to it there was all sorts of stuff going around about my dad going to Switzerland to euthanize himself and this was all planned.
"This was this this it was not absolutely not. That is categorically untrue and ridiculous." Jack shared how Ozzy was "so happy" to have been able to return to the stage for one last time and was preparing to settle into retirement.
"He was happy to kind of move into this next phase of his life," Jack shared. "He wanted to to spend more time in England. He wanted to spend more time with my kids.
"He wanted to spend more time just exploring different things as much as he could." Speaking of the day Ozzy died, Jack recalled: "I woke up in Los Angeles to a knock on my house door at around 3:45 in the morning from someone who's worked for my family for god probably 30 years now was was knocking on my door.
"When I looked through the my window and I saw it was him I just knew something bad had happened. I was informed that my father had passed.
"Just pain just sadness and pain and just so many thoughts. You go through this feeling sad and frustrated and angry and like this part of you that's like I have to get there right now."
