Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and three more axed Man Utd stars get brutal orders

Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and the three other members of the Manchester United bomb squad are being told to report for duty at Carrington at 5pm this week - long after Ruben Amorim and the rest of the players have left.

In an apparent move to force Rashford, Garnacho and their three other unwanted team-mates - Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia - to all find ways to depart the club, the five players have been ostracised from the rest of the first-team group.

The players can still use the facilities at the United training ground, as reported by The Athletic, but they are not allowed to take part in team training sessions with Amorim's preferred players.

In addition they have also been asked to report to Carrington this Saturday, when Amorim and the first-team squad will be in Stockholm for a pre-season friendly against Leeds United.

Last week Rashford was filmed arriving at Carrington eight minutes after Amorim had left, with no sign of an end to the rift that developed between them following the Portuguese coach's arrival last November.

Rashford joined Aston Villa on loan in January, but the England international is hopeful of securing a move abroad this summer, preferably to Barcelona. Villa confirmed that they would not be taking up the option to buy him permanently for £40m last month.

Garnacho has already turned down interest from the Saudi Pro Leagueand would like to stay in Europe, with Chelsea still monitoring the 21-year-old Argentina international.

Amorim told the winger he would be allowed to leave the club at the end of last season, but he did still take him on the post-season tour of Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong. The sales of Rashford and Garnacho are seen as key to ensuring United are able to afford a move for Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo.

Like Rashford, Sancho saw a loan deal fail to turn into a permanent transfer this summer when Chelsea passed up their opportunity to sign him, even paying United a £5m penalty to pull out of the arranged deal.

Antony impressed on loan at Real Betis last season, and while the La Liga club would like to sign him permanently they currently unable to afford him. Malacia joined PSV Eindhoven on loan in January, playing 12 times.
