The truth about what went on with Emmerdale exes Charity Dingle and Vanessa Woodfield recently was finally exposed on Thursday. Charity actress Emma Atkins has now had her say on the matter, addressing her character's latest drama.
There was quite a bombshell on the ITV soap as it was confirmed that Charity is pregnantamid her offering to be a surrogate for her granddaughter Sarah Sugden. After she suffered bleeding and believed the procedure had not been successful, Charity was shocked to be told the pregnancy test taken at the fertility clinic was positive.
Of course only Charity knew that there's a chance the baby is actually Ross Barton's and might not be Sarah and her partner Jacob Gallagher's embryo after all. It comes as a scene on Thursday confirmed Charity and Ross slept together the same night Charity kissed Vanessa.

Amid the DNA drama, we finally learned what happened with Charity and Vanessa after cryptic scenes and no confirmation. Fans had been hoping for a Vanity reunion, and were a little disappointed to hear the kiss would not lead to that despite them teasing as such.
A flashback on Thursday also confirmed Vanessa's fury at Charity for kissing her and hoping to sleep with her. In fact she kicked her out in a moment after the kiss that aired a couple of weeks ago.
It seems just after the smooch, Vanessa called her out and kicked her out of the house. She told her: "Get out! How dare you, Charity? You think you can sleep with me to solve all your problems?"
Charity claimed it was "just a kiss", to which Vanessa shouted: "It is not my fault you take a wrecking ball to every relationship you have. Honestly, I am not being your fallback option."
She then turned around and slammed the door, leaving Charity out in the street before she met with Ross. Charity actress Emma had her say on the scenes, praising the characters' "chemistry" and teasing more "amazing" scenes for the pair while a romance appears to have been ruled out.
Emma said: "She took solace with Vanessa. She throws herself at her knowing they have this fantastic chemistry, which was brilliant play and I love working with Michelle, and I can't wait for the audience to see that because I know that there's so many people that loved that connection."
She went on about what is ahead: "It's brilliant. I've got some amazing scenes with Michelle, amazing scenes with Mike, amazing scenes with Lawrence, and of course, Katie Hill, who's fantastic. They're all brilliant to work with and so it gives me that element of chaos and as an actor that is wonderful to play."
