The 2025 National Television Awards is just hours away as stars from across the small screen gather for the biggest night of the year. Presenters, actors and reality stars will descend on London's O2 Arena for a night filled with glitz and glamour.
Comedian Joel Dommett will take on hosting duties once again, with stars anxiously waiting to see if they scoop up a prestigious award.
Ant and Dec, the beloved Georgie duo with a remarkable 23 consecutive wins in the TV Presenter category at the National Television Awards, are once again vying for the top spot. However, this year, they face formidable contenders who have captured the public's hearts this year.
Here, we take a look at who is in competition with Ant and Dec this year as they fight to make it 24 years in a row.
Claudia Winkleman
Claudia Winkleman has been a staple on BBC One, hosting Strictly Come Dancing and The Traitors. Claudia's engaging style, infectious charm, and popularity make her a strong contender in this category and she could be the one to finally trump Ant and Dec.
Alison Hammond

Alison Hammond's infectious personality and role on This Morning have endeared her to viewers.
Her presence in the daytime television landscape keeps her in the spotlight as she has quickly become one of the nation's most loved presenters with This Morning viewers even starting a petition to have her as a permanent host on the ITV daytime show.
Gary Lineker

Seasoned broadcaster Gary Lineker has been nominated for Best TV Presenter just months after his early exit from BBC’s Match Of The Day in May.
Lineker departed his role as the main presenter of BBC's Match of the Day at the end of the 2024/25 Premier League season. His departure occurred earlier than initially planned and stemmed from a series of controversies related to his social media activity, specifically a post in May 2025 concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that included a rat emoji.
The rat image has been historically used in antisemitic propaganda. Lineker apologised for sharing the post, stating he was unaware of the image and "would never knowingly share anything antisemitic".
However, the controversy led to the BBC confirming his early exit from the show, and also stated he would not be part of their coverage for the 2026 World Cup or the 2025/26 FA Cup.
Stacey Solomon

Stacey Solomon's transformation from reality TV star to a trusted daytime host on Sort Your Life Out has been remarkable. Her relatable approach and connection with audiences position her as a strong competitor to beat Ant and Dec to the poll.
Last year, at the 2024 National Television Awards, Stacey took home the award and she has a very good chance of scooping another one tonight.
As the 30th NTAs unfold tonight at The O2 Arena, all eyes will be on the TV Presenter category to see if Ant and Dec can continue their winning streak or if a new face will take the crown.
