Friends, as we all know, the Aadhaar card is an important document for Indians. It is used to open a bank account, get a SIM card, and obtain admission to college or school. Sometimes, our Aadhaar card gets lost, causing us problems. But don't worry, you can now retrieve your Aadhaar card number with just one call. Let's find out how:
1: Get your Aadhaar number by calling 1947
UIDAI provides a 24x7 toll-free helpline number – 1947. You can call this number anytime to get your Aadhaar or Enrollment ID (EID).
Steps:
Dial 1947 and connect to the UIDAI helpline.
The official will ask you for basic information such as your name, date of birth, and registered mobile number.
After verification, your Aadhaar or EID will be sent via SMS to your registered mobile number.
Note: Your mobile number must be linked to your Aadhaar for this option to work.
2: Get Aadhaar online through the UIDAI website
You can also visit uidai.gov.in
and select the "Get Lost or Forgotten EID/UID" option.
Steps:
Enter your registered name, mobile number, or email ID.
You will receive an OTP for verification.
Upon successful verification, your Aadhaar number will be sent instantly via SMS or email.
3: Use the mAadhaar app
If you have the mAadhaar app, simply log in with your registered mobile number. Once logged in, your Aadhaar information will appear on the screen, allowing you to view or download your number at any time.
