Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Heavy rainfall in the state over the past two days has led to multiple incidents across districts like Datia and Chhatarpur, disrupting daily life and exposing gaps in safety arrangements.
Different videos of the incidents are circulating widely on social media.
A viral video shows a man carrying a scooter on his shoulder to cross the flooded bridge, as no barricading or warning signs were placed.
In Datia, an auto-rickshaw carrying school children got stuck on the waterlogged and damaged Taran Talab road.

Man carries scooter on shoulder
In Chhatarpur district, the Dhassan River overflowed near the Naugaon–Belatal road, forcing people to take extreme risks.
The video shows a man carrying a scooter on his shoulder to cross the flooded bridge, as no barricading or warning signs were placed.

Meanwhile, the Matguwan to Bijawar road near the Brahmadev Temple is completely submerged due to continuous rainfall, cutting off movement in the area.

Officials had earlier instructed teams to remain alert and inspect flood-prone areas, but on ground, many places still lack basic safety arrangements.
People have been advised to avoid flooded paths and not to cross overflowing rivers or waterlogged roads under any condition.

Thankfully, no one was hurt, and locals helped bring the children to safety before the vehicle was removed.
