Patna: The controversy arising from the alleged assault and misbehaviour with a non-Brahmin kathavachak in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh has spilled over to a Bihar’s village.
Residents of Tikulia village in East Champaran district on Monday imposed restrictions on entry of Brahmins, especially priests following assault and misbehaviour with a non-Brahmin Kathavachak in Etawah district of neighbouring Uttar Pradesh on June 21.
Residents put up banners on the entrance gate of the village, restricting movement of Brahmins, especially priests. They also threatened to impose a penalty if anybody dared to defy the ban order and performed puja. Electric pillars have also been painted with similar ban order.
