Age Limit and Physical Standards for Army Jobs
Age Limit: The age limit for most positions under the Agniveer Scheme ranges from 17.5 years to 21 years.
Height: This can range from 163 cm to 170 cm, depending on the region and position.
Weight: It should be proportionate to height and age (BMI).
Chest: A minimum of 77 cm without expansion and 5 cm expansion when expanded is required.
Eligibility Criteria for Army Jobs
Citizenship: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Marital Status: The candidate must be unmarried at the time of recruitment.
Medical Standards: The candidate must be physically and mentally fit. Vision, hearing, and dental health must meet the prescribed standards.
Recruitment Process (Agniveer)
Recruitment to soldier positions in the Army is primarily based on the Common Entrance Exam (CEE) and Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
Registration and Online CEE: Candidates must first apply online, after which they must appear for an online written examination (CEE).
Physical Test (PFT): Candidates who pass the CEE are called for the PFT, which consists of a 1.6-kilometer run, pull-ups on a beam, a 9-foot ditch jump, and zig-zag balance.
Medical Examination: Candidates who pass the PFT undergo a detailed medical examination.
Merit List: A final merit list is prepared for those who successfully complete all stages.
