Tomato farming requires less cost and hard work. By investing thousands of rupees, one can earn lakhs. Lucknow's young farmer Shubham Mishra told Jagran Business that he cultivates tomatoes by investing 10 to 20 thousand rupees in the rainy season and earns 2 to 2 lakh rupees in this season.
Shubham told that he cultivates tomatoes in about 2 to 3 bighas and earns lakhs of rupees. He told that tomato cultivation is very easy, first of all, you have to prepare the nursery, then plow the field two to three times and make ridges in the field, and plant tomato plants at some distance. After this, irrigate it.
The tomato plant is tied with a ribbon or string so that the plant remains straight. And to protect it from insects, insecticides are sprayed on its plants. The tomato crop starts coming out in two months.
