Arsenal are expected to pursue two more new signings after Viktor Gyokeres' transfer despite the fact he will likely be their fourth summer arrival. Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga have joined already for a combined £60million with an announcement for Christian Norgaard expected this week.
Alongside confirming their first two summer arrivals during the first week of July, Arsenal finally decided on the striker they would be actively pursuing between Benjamin Sesko and Gyokeres. All at the club were aligned on the former but talks for the Sweden international continued.
As Arsenal were reluctant to meet RB Leipzig's asking price, focus switched back onto Gyokeres with the Sporting forward as Berta's favoured choice when he initially joined the club back in March.

The Gunners' sporting director has since flown out to Portugal in an attempt to close a deal during face-to-face discussions with there currently a slight difference in his valuation from both clubs. All parties seemingly want a resolution though, and thus a full agreement is likely to be reached.
Following that, more attacking signings are wanted by Arteta and as such, some tough calls are needed. Nico Williams, Rafael Leao, Ollie Watkins and Johan Bakayoko are just a few names to have been tentatively linked in this trading period.
With the summer window having been underway for some time, the Athletichave listed updates on five attackers quite clearly being targeted as the club look to improve that area of the pitch.

Chelsea's Noni Madueke is a fairly new name of significant interest with personal terms agreed and it stated that he is seen as cover for Bukayo Saka and a player that can also play on the left. As for Rodrygo, preliminary discussions have been held for the Real Madrid star with a lot of groundwork done in the background.
Newcastle star Anthony Gordon has admirers in north London while Ademola Lookman has been discussed but Arsenal are not open to paying Atalanta's asking price. It currently looks unlikely either of those two names make the switch but there remains a serious chance that Eberechi Eze does.
Having held a meeting with the Crystal Palace star's entourage in late June, the 27-year-old moved to near the top of their transfer shortlist.
Arsenal may struggle to afford bringing in him and a more natural wide forward after the Gyokeres deal unless a senior star is sold. Gabriel Martinelli seems to be the most likely candidate for that but there is no indication he will be leaving despite links to Bayern Munich and Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
